Peter Costello AM, Stephen M. R. Covey and 9-year old Finn Vicars to headline this year’s FPA Congress opening keynote

The Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) is pleased to announce the three opening keynote speakers for the 2018 FPA Professionals Congress, to be held in Sydney from 21-23 November 2018.

Peter Costello AM, Chairman of the Australian Future Fund, Nine Entertainment Corporation and former Treasurer of the Commonwealth of Australia, along with Stephen M. R. Covey, US-based bestselling author of The Speed of Trust, will kick off three exciting days of presentations and workshops.

Stephen M. R. Covey will join the stage live via satellite to explain how trust is not merely a soft, social virtue but a hard-edged economic driver that is learnable, measurable, and makes organisations more profitable, people more promotable, and relationships more energising.

Future change maker and 9-year old child prodigy, Finn Vicars will join the opening keynote session to share his view on how “the world can be a better place through science, the environment and the economy”.

FPA CEO Dante De Gori, CFP® said “the 2018 FPA Congress promises to energise financial planners—both professionally and personally—to be better informed, better connected and better prepared to realise the many opportunities facing the fast-evolving profession. And I’ve been told, Finn Vicars can’t wait for the opportunity to ask Peter Costello a few questions.”

The full program will be announced in coming weeks.

This year, the largest annual event of the financial planning calendar is being held at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Sydney. Around 1,000 financial planners from across Australia are expected to gather over three days of keynote sessions, networking events, workshops and panels, and honour contributions by members to their local communities.

Delegates are encouraged to book now, to take advantage of the $245 early bird discount available until 31 August 2018.
