AFL legend Shane Crawford to join Tasmanian cycling challenge

Nineteen cyclists from across Australia will set off tomorrow from Devonport in Tasmania for the 2017 Future2 Wheel Classic, raising money for the Financial Planning Association’s (FPA) Future2 Foundation. Future2 grants $823,000 for disadvantaged young Australians

Future2, the philanthropic arm of the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA), has awarded $133,000 in grants this year to community not-for-profit organisations with programs for socially and financially disadvantaged young Australians. FPA welcomes FASEA’s announcement to adopt FPEC

The Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) welcomes the Financial Adviser Standards and Ethics Authority (FASEA) announcement last week that clarifies its position on the qualifications that will be required for individuals entering the financial advice profession. The announcement effectively confirms that FASEA will accept the FPA’s gift of the Financial Planning Education Council (FPEC) Curriculum and Approved Degrees list, and use this as the initial entry standard for new entrants into the financial planning profession. FPA’s partnership with Banqer to boost financial literacy in schools

The Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) has launched a partnership with Banqer, an online interactive learning tool designed to assist teaching financial literacy and help boost motivation in primary school classrooms. Schools introduced to Banqer by FPA members will have access to the online program, as well as qualified support from a financial planner. The aim is to provide the program to 15,000 kids in local schools during 2017/18, allowing them to become curious, creative, and ultimately, confident with money.
