New Year, new Chapter Chairs

To herald the New Year the Financial Planning Association (FPA) is pleased to announce the results of elections held last November and welcome 13 new Chapter Chairs to its ranks alongside 19 returning Chapter Chairs.

The FPA’s 32 Chapters operate throughout capital cities and major regional centres nationally. Run by an elected committee of FPA members, each Chapter is headed by a Chair who is responsible for, in association with the FPA, organising and promoting member activities, with a particular focus on local professional development initiatives.

Mark Rantall, CEO of FPA, said:

“Our Chapters are integral to giving each and every member the opportunity to connect with the FPA, their peers and the local financial planning community no matter where they operate. They form the network through which we can create a strong member community in which our members are free to engage with each other and exchange ideas, knowledge and learning.

“Last year, for example, our Chapters throughout the country ran continuous programs of extremely popular educational and networking events that were highly valued by members. This kind of local activity flows through to a national level, at events such as our upcoming inaugural Professionals Congress (17-18 October 2013), where our members will be able to share with and learn from Chapter Chairs, educators and leaders in the profession.

“We’re looking forward to working closely with each Chapter Chair in the year ahead to continue to provide our members with the services, support and education they want in order to better serve their clients. We’d also like to thank all previous Chapter Chairs for the tremendous job they have done and welcome both our 13 new and 19 returning Chapter Chairs to an exciting new year.”
