Globally recognised financial planning experts to headline 2019 FPA Professionals Congress

Early bird registrations close Saturday 31 August

A panel of leading financial planning experts from around the world will headline 2019 FPA Professionals Congress, taking place in Melbourne from 27 – 29 November 2019.

The Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) is delighted to announce global experts Mitch Anthony (USA), Phil Billingham CFP® (UK), Janet Hugo CFP® (South Africa) and Andrew Talbot CFP® (Singapore) will join a panel discussion as part of the opening keynote session at the largest annual event for financial planners.

The panel will discuss their recent experiences dealing with legislative and technological changes, and how they are adapting their client offering. The discussion will be facilitated by widely respected journalist Simon Hoyle, who will draw on his in-depth knowledge of the Australian profession.

The second keynote session facilitated by business marketing expert, Tim Reid, will feature a panel that includes some of Australia’s most innovative and diverse business leaders. Entrepreneur Dr Catriona Wallace, former Director of the UN World Food Programme Simon Costa AO, and Executive Chairman of Light Warrior Group Radek Sali, will share how they have developed new business models and ways of thinking.

The final keynote session will showcase international Red Bull action star and consultant to elite athletes, Cedric Dumont, sharing his expertise on how to master fear and embrace change.

The workshop program is now also available. Delegates can select six workshops from a program of 24 sessions across four streams focusing on communication, wellbeing, strengthening technical capabilities and enhancing businesses.

The full line up of speakers will be announced in coming weeks.

Dante De Gori CFP®, CEO of the FPA, says this year’s “New Horizons” theme and associated program will inspire delegates to embrace the change that is happening in the profession.

“We’re creating another valuable and inspiring Congress program to help financial planners reignite their businesses. The program is designed to improve technical capabilities, and sharpen leadership, business and personal skills, giving financial planners what they need to develop their careers and practices.

“As always, the FPA Professional Congress provides a great opportunity for financial planners to deepen their networks, make new connections and discuss the issues that matter to them.”

Delegates are encouraged to register today for early bird discounts available until 31 August 2019 – FPA members save $245 off the standard price and non-members save $200.
