FPA launches Women in Wealth events in Brisbane and Sydney

The Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) is partnering with Financial Executive Women (FEW) to present the first FPA Women in Wealth networking events in Brisbane and Sydney with support from gold sponsor, Macquarie Bank.

In April this year, the FPA and FEW announced an alliance to advance the progression of women in financial planning. As part of the initiative, the FPA is rolling out two state-based networking events, featuring key note speeches from inspirational Australian business women.

The FPA Brisbane Chapter will host the inaugural FPA Women in Wealth event on Thursday 19 October 2017. Speaking at the lunch will be personal brand image expert Colette Werden, Founder & CEO of Colette Werden.

Ms Werden has a passion for working with entrepreneurs and professionals to develop an image for them that is just as impressive as their talents. She will speak about ‘The Art of Authentic Self-Packaging; How to Use Pieces of Fabric to Increase Your Self-Confidence, Not Destroy It’.

Following the Brisbane event, on 25th October the FPA Sydney Chapter will host a FPA Women in Wealth breakfast featuring Pauline Nguyen, one of Australia’s most successful entrepreneurs.

As owner and co-founder of Red Lantern, the most awarded Vietnamese restaurant in the world, she knows what is takes to run a thriving business and will share her insights with the audience.

Commenting on the events, FPA CEO Dante De Gori said, “These networking events are designed to promote networking and mentoring opportunities to advance the progression of female financial planners, and ultimately grow the number of women in the profession in the years ahead. For this reason, attendees are encouraged to bring along a mentee, young planner or student free of charge”.
