FPA gearing up for Roadshow Capital City Series

The Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) is about to embark on its Roadshow Capital City Series, taking place in June across Australia.

The FPA Roadshow Capital City Series will travel to five capital cities: Perth on 1 June, Adelaide on 2 June, Sydney on 7 June, Melbourne on 8 June and Brisbane on 10 June. The event series is complimentary for members and provides a chance to reconnect with peers and benefit from an insightful half day professional development session.

The event series is an opportunity to hear from the new CEO, Sarah Abood, and the new Chair, David Sharpe. In addition, guest speakers include Generation Life CEO Grant Hackett, (previously a multiple Olympic champion and world record-holder representing Australia in swimming).

Ms Abood says she is looking forward to meeting with members to share the changes the association is making to improve the membership experience and its plans for the future.

“The program includes up-to-the-minute policy and regulatory insights affecting financial planning, including the Quality of Advice Review and the implications of the election outcome,” Ms Abood says.

“Members will also earn up to 2.5 CPD hours with in-depth sessions on ethics, solving client retirement challenges and addressing PI dilemmaspresented in partnership with Generation Life and AB Phillips.”

The Roadshow is complimentary for FPA members  who can register via the FPA website. Non-members are also welcome to attend, and a fee of $75 applies.
