FPA announces 2015 Financial Planner AFP® of the Year


The Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA), today announced that John Molnar from ipac South Australia is the winner of the 2015 FPA Financial Planner AFP® of the Year Award.

The award recognises a professional financial planner who has demonstrated best practice in financial planning, achieved superior client outcomes, and also contributed significantly to the local community.

Mark Rantall, CEO of the FPA, said that the award was conceived to encourage and recognise the achievements of Financial Planner AFP® members who are committed to excellence and professional development, and adhere to the FPA Code of Professional Practice.

“John has received this award because he upholds high professional and ethical standards, which means living up to the expectations of our profession, acting in the best interests of clients and providing the highest quality financial advice.

“The FPA has long advocated higher standards of education and professionalism in financial planning, and part of that process is to recognise the achievements of our members. That’s why it’s such a pleasure to present this award to John,” Mr Rantall said.

At the age of 29, John Molnar, has already been working in financial services for more than 10 years. He specialises in providing sophisticated financial planning strategies to his clients, but also has a keen interest in educating clients about their financial affairs.

Mr Molnar focuses on goals-based financial advice which enables clients to live the life they want today, while at the same time feeling confident that they will be financially secure tomorrow.

He works closely with his clients to create a comprehensive financial plan covering everything from budgeting and cash flow to investment planning, insurance, as well as estate and family legacy planning.

Mr Molnar said that he was honoured to receive the award. “I firmly believe that quality financial advice changes lives, and that’s what I try to achieve for my clients. This award shows I am really making a difference and heading down the right path.

“And to be honoured by the FPA – the voice of our industry – makes it that much more special,” Mr Molnar said.

Mr Rantall concluded, “I would like to congratulate the financial planners who applied for this award. It was inspiring to see the quality of their work, as well as the rigorous processes they employed,“ he said.

The FPA Awards are being presented throughout the FPA Professionals Congress in Brisbane.
