CFP® professionals appointed as Future2 directors and ambassadors

Two CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) professionals will join the board of Future2, the foundation of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), in January 2015.

Anne Graham CFP® is managing director and partner of McPhail HLG Financial Planning based in Melbourne, with 15 years’ experience in financial planning. She is an active member of the FPA who has served on the committee for the FPA Melbourne Chapter, FPA Policy and Regulations Committee and the FPA Congress Committee. Anne was Securitor Adviser of the Year (VIC) this year and VIC state winner of the FPA Certified Financial Planner Professional Best Practice Award 2013.

Joseph Hoe JP CFP® is a senior financial planner with Wealthwise Pty Ltd, based in Perth, with more than 15 years’ experience in financial planning. He is a Chartered Tax Adviser and a Fellow member of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, the Australian Institute of Management and CPA Australia. He participates actively on the boards of several non-profit organisations and provides consultation and aid to a variety of charities.

Anne and Joseph have a long association with the not-for-profit sector through links with local organisations. Both are keen to see Future2 develop its engagement with FPA members to further strengthen the relationship between members, local charities and not-for-profits.

Future2 Chair, Steven Helmich said, “Anne and Joseph have much to offer Future2 as we reach out to financial planning professionals and, through them, help disadvantaged young people find a brighter future and a productive place in communities all over Australia.”

The two new appointments follow the retirement of Ray Griffin and Rob Pedersen from the board. Reflecting on the contribution of Ray and Rob, Steven Helmich said, “The Future2 board will miss the wisdom and passion that Ray and Rob have brought to the table over the years. Both have played a major role in Future2’s growth, from strategic planning to practicalities of getting ‘the job’ done.”

The Future2 board comprises nine directors/trustees, three of which are nominated by the board of the FPA.

Future2 Ambassadors

Future2 ambassadors are financial planning professionals, and others closely aligned to the professions, who have been invited to assist the foundation to raise its profile and create a pool of funds for grant-making. They give their time and network of contacts voluntarily to support Future2’s growth and to extend our work in the community.

The Future2 board has appointed retired Future2 directors Ray Griffin and Rob Pedersen as Future2 Ambassadors and looks forward to retaining their passion and commitment to the foundation’s work.

Ray Griffin is a Director and shareholder in Baiocchi Griffin Private Wealth in Tamworth NSW and a director of AdviserVoice. He was a founding trustee of the Future2 Foundation and a former Chairman of the FPA.
