Women in Financial Planning

The FPA’s Women in Financial Planning program is designed to attract more women to the profession and to foster community, innovation and leadership amongst existing financial planners.

(formerly FPA Women in Wealth) is designed to benefit our members by fostering community, innovation and leadership. Women make great financial planners, yet are under-represented in having long-term careers in advice.

Hear from women who are making a difference in our profession

Celebrating International Women’s Day 2021

RECORDING NOW AVAILABLE

Over 350 FPA members and peers joined us online to celebrate International Women’s Day and hear from women who are making a difference in our profession.

Huge thanks to FPA Chair Marisa Broome CFP®, Michelle Tate-Lovery CFP®, Kearsten James CFP®, Dawn Thomas CFP®, Patricia Garcia CFP® and host Sue Viskovic for this fantastic session.

FPA members can access the recording as we explore how women are making a difference in our profession and why the decision to be a financial planner has positively impacted their lives.

Hosted by Sue Viskovic, business coach and keynote presenter, you’ll hear our panel of CFP®professionals discuss:

  • Diverse career pathways and opportunities within the profession
  • The opportunities and benefits of a career in financial planning
  • The differences women bring to our profession within a business, when interacting with clients and the ways they give back.

Our panel shared their career stories, how they have overcome their challenges and the lessons they’ve learnt.

The FPA is committed to diversity in our profession and the Women in Financial Planning program is supporting women at all career stages.
