Richard Pillay is a proud father and a passionate and hardworking financial planner who is determined to empower his clients through his comprehensive knowledge and skill-set. Having accumulated extensive experience in the financial services industry over the past 13 years. Seeing a gap in the industry in dealing with the needs of people entering retirement - lead him to the creation of Next Chapter Retirement Solutions. The industry has over-time become complicated, which the firm believes has made many Australian’s feel overwhelmed with finding some clarity for the next steps to living their best life in retirement. The aim of Next Chapter is to first and foremost deliver transparency to clients. The premise is simple – help people help themselves to live their best life – and deliver on service delivery. Next Chapter Retirement Solutions has also teamed up with clinical Psychologists in its “actualized program” offered to all clients. Human beings want predictability in life to anticipate outcomes, but unfortunately life can throw us some curve balls. So even if the advice is sound and fit for purpose, if a clients own mental health is not at its best – they then continue to verge away from the ideals of living their best life. The actual concept of retirement, can be daunting for individuals, the loss of loved ones, a divorce/separation – the list is endless and the purpose of the program was to ensure that clients felt that their advisers are not just helping them achieve their own goals in life, but to also provide support when faced with challenges. Richard’s latest endeavour saw him at State Super (StatePlus), where the position allowed him to focus on giving specialist retirement advice to both the public and private sector with a firm focus on defined benefit schemes such as SASS (State Authorities Superannuation Scheme) and SSS (State Superannuation Scheme). He is also well versed in the Commonwealth defined benefit schemes such as PSS/CSS. He continued to form strong relationships with clients, including Transport NSW, Department of Education and Roads and Maritime Services – and he is determined to continue these relationships well into the future.
