I hold a combined Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Information Systems degree from the University of Tasmania, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning through FINSIA. I also hold the internationally recognised CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner designation, the highest certification within the financial planning industry, and I am member of the Hobart Chapter of the Financial Planning Association.

In 2017, I was recognised in The Australian’s Top 50 Financial Advisers in Australia, in association with Barron’s. I have also been included in the Financial Standard 50 Most Influential Advisers in 2018, 2019, 2021 & 2022. I have been employed by Shadforth Financial Group since 2004 and have gained broad experience within the financial advice industry. I am passionate about developing and maintaining long term relationships with my clients and enjoys helping people achieve their personal financial goals. I specialise in strategic financial planning with extensive knowledge in superannuation, wealth accumulation, retirement strategies, taxation planning and portfolio management.

My approach is to gain a strong understanding of my client's cash flow position, which then allows me to recommend the most suitable investments to help them achieve their financial goals. I enjoy providing answers to important questions like 'Can I retire now?', 'Can I afford to send my children to private school?' and 'Can I sustain and protect my current lifestyle?'

Away from work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, competing in triathlons and other endurance events and I like to make the most of Tasmania's great outdoors. I live in Hobart with my wife and two young children.
