David Marasea, CFP®

David Marasea commenced his career as a financial adviser in 2004; initially at a small boutique financial planning firm called Heraud Harrison, one of the founding firms that later merged to create the Shadforth Financial Group (SFG) in 2008. Finding that the corporate model suited his ideas about how best to serve client’s interests less and less, David left the corporate world in 2016 to build his own boutique financial planning practice. Marasea Partners was inaugurated therefore out of a deep desire to build a more client centric and evidence based firm.David genuinely aspires towards helping others achieve their financial and personal goals. He is dedicated to developing and maintaining long term relationships with his clients and is firmly committed to improving the quality of strategic advice within his profession.David has extensive knowledge across the broad scope of financial planning, gained over greater than 12 years as a senior financial adviser. He also specialises in cross border strategies for expatriates, particularly those migrating from the United Kingdom to Australia.David Marasea’s qualifications include a Masters Degree in Financial Planning from RMIT University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne. David also holds a Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning), and lastly (but not least) David is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). David is also a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and upholds their Code of Ethical and Professional standards. Finally, David sits as a member of the Melbourne Chapter Committee of the Financial Planning Association.
