Chris Boag commenced his career as an analyst with Towers Perrin (now Russell Investments) in 1999. After a few years valuing defined benefit superannuation funds Chris moved to London for travel and further work experience. In London, Chris spent time with Abbey National providing specialist pension benefit calculations before moving onto Deloitte Touche Tomatsu where he used his analytical skills to assist with a coordinated worldwide approach to targeting Audit clients. On return to Australia Chris found his feet with highly regarded financial advisory firm Godfrey Pembroke. This was the stepping stone for Chris’s first business which provided outsourced strategic planning, specialist calculations and consultancy to boutique financial planners. One of Chris’s major clients was ANZ Private Bank where he became a full time staff member and remained there for several years as a financial planner. Chris commenced at Mutual Trust in '07 and played a key role in establishing and building Mutual Trust's investment advisory capabilities. From an initial team of one and no clients, the team increased to 16 and funds under advice grew in excess of $400m. In June 2013, Chris left Mutual Trust and established Royston Capital. Royston Capital has its own AFSL and provides strategic financial planning and investment advice. Chris has several qualifications including Master of Financial Planning, Bachelor of Business majoring in Economics, Dip and Advanced Dip in Financial Planning.
