Western Division Chapter Orange Member Lunch Seminar
Thursday 30 March 2017, 10:00am – 1:00pm
The FPA Professional Accountability Team, Mark Murphy and Kate Finnigan will be visiting the Western Division Chapter in Orange on Thursday, 30 March, and presenting at a Chapter event, at the Orange Ex-Services Club.
During this event both Mark and Kate will be presenting on three topics as follows:
• AML (Anti-Monel Laundering) and Fraud, focusing on the apparent lesser known aspects of AML (and fraud) responsibilities and risks identified in a recent Austrac Report.
• Complaints, drawing upon the documented FPA complaint process and FPA complaint activity, to provide practical tips to members on how to lessen the risk of complaints (FPA and other channels) and also on how members might respond to a complaint.
• Disclosure, considering the various areas of disclosure (e.g. fees, risks, consequences of following advice, conflicts) in the day to day activities of financial planning, how these disclosures are often made in an impractical and unhelpful way and how they might otherwise be made to meet their intended purpose.
This event is open to all our FPA Members, however we would encourage your support staff to also attend.
You will also have the opportunity to network at this event during our lunch break.
