The FPA Sydney Chapter Committee invites you to join us for a Breakfast Seminar with Professor David Babbel, from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Professor David Babbel will talk about the five major challenges he has identified that people have when accumulating sufficient wealth for a comfortable living in retirement;
– Dealing with lifetime uncertainty
– The challenge of uncertain inflation
– Securing your lasting inheritance
– The need for liquidity and
– The role of diversification.
At the event we will also hear from George Lytas, Head of Annuities and Investment Bonds at CommInsure, who will present practical case studies, utilising a multi-layered retirement strategy that incorporate the age pension entitlements.
Dr David F. Babbel, Professor and Fellow at Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania
Dr David F Babbel, PhD, is a Professor Emeritus of Business Economics and Public Policy, Professor of Insurance and Finance, and Fellow in the Financial Institutions Centre at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has been a consultant to some of the largest financial institutions in the world and has published over 130 books ad scholarly articles on investment and insurance topics.
In 2017, Professor Babbel was asked by CommInsure to research the Australian retirement market and provide strategies to address key challenges facing Australian retirees.
George Lytas, Head of Annuities and Investment Bonds at CommInsure
George has over 20 years’ experience in the wealth management sectors. He leads a team of product specialists at CommInsure who are focused on the development of retirement income and investment solutions for the Australian market.
George holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from UNSW and an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
