Wednesday 18 October, 7:30am to 9:00am

The FPA Riverina Chapter Committee invites you to join us for a breakfast event on Wednesday 18 October, at the Mantra Pavilion Hotel.

‘Estate Planning: Critical Issues for Planners’

Cristean Yazbeck, Managing Director at Hamilton Blackstone Lawyers will explore emerging risks and trends impacting financial planners and the delivery of advice to their clients, including:

• Binding and non-lapsing death benefit nominations, and the planner’s role in the process
• Recent cases concerning the insurance duty of disclosure, and why planners can be caught
• How and when planners might owe a duty of care to their clients.

The session will consider a number of actual case studies, and how planners can mitigate litigation risks to them.

Ana Smolcic, DHS Community Engagement Officer at Centrelink will also be presenting a guide to Centrelink On-line services

The Committee looks forward to seeing you there!
