Geelong Chapter Breakfast Seminar
Wednesday 12th July, 7:45am to 9:15am
The FPA Geelong Chapter Committee together with our sponsor Allan Gray Australia invites you to a breakfast seminar with L.J Collyer from Allan Gray, held Wednesday 12th July, at Winters Cafe.
This seminar will focus on ‘Behavioural Finance’.
Behavioural finance demonstrates that human decision making is often driven by emotion and biases. For most people, it is a challenge to recognise these biases as they occur – particularly in themselves. In the context of investments, such biases can lead to herding and poor decision making. LJ will discuss;
‘Behavioural Finance’ and the investor’s chief problem
Decision making systems – emotional vs. logical
Examples of human biases & irrational behaviour
How these behaviours appear in financial markets
A practical solution – some suggestions
Please note attendees are asked to order their breakfast and a drink from the menu upon arrival.
The Committee looks forward to seeing you there!
