Each FPA Chapter committee works closely with the FPA to connect and unite local FPA members and create a better financial future for Australians. We are delighted to have such a strong pool of individuals to represent our Chapter network.
PROCESS FOR ELECTIONS
The nomination process is online. Please provide your name, email, member ID and a brief overview of your experience and why you are nominating yourself (500 words max). Start your application
If you are nominating a peer, please submit the details of the member you wish to nominate or contact us at [email protected]. The FPA will be in contact with individuals who are nominated.
A document outlining your experience and reasons for standing for office will also be required if an election was to be called. An election will only take place if there are more than eight nominations within a Chapter, otherwise the candidates will be elected unopposed. Once the committee is appointed by the members, the committee will meet to elect the Chapter Chair, who is required to hold a current CFP® Professional or AFP® FPA member status.
Once the Chapter committee members are finalised, as a committee member you will be asked to sign the Chapter Promise which will ensure all members are willing participants and advocates of the FPA.
