We have had a strong response to our first ever online elections process for the 2018 FPA Chapter Committee elections. Each FPA Chapter committee works closely with the FPA to connect and unite local FPA members, and create a better financial future for Australians, and we’re delighted to have such a strong pool of individuals to take our chapters forward.
Due to the high volume of nominations, members from the Sydney, Melbourne and WA chapters are being given the opportunity to select their preferred eight to lead their chapter for the coming two years. Voting opened Friday 12 October and closes on Friday 19 October. More information on how to vote has been communicated to members in these Chapters via email.
All FPA Chapter Committee members will be appointed by Tuesday 30 October.
PROCESS FOR ELECTIONS
The nomination process is online. You’ll be asked to submit your name, email, and phone number of the details of the individual you wish to nominate, and you will also be required to prepare a one page resume for yourself/your nominee if we go to election. An election will only take place if we get more than eight nominations within a chapter, otherwise the candidates will be elected unopposed. Once the committee is appointed by the members, the committee will meet to elect the Chapter Chair. Nominations are now open.
