International ethicist to speak at FPA 2016 Professionals Congress

Dan Candura CFP® announced as workshop speaker on ethics

The Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) has announced internationally renowned ethicist, Dan Candura CFP®, as a speaker at the 2016 Professionals Congress. The congress will take place in Perth from 23-25 November.

Mr Candura is a CFP® professional based in Massachusetts, United States. He is founder of education and consulting firm Candura Group and provides ethics training across the United States, Canada and Europe through in-person courses and webinars.

FPA CEO, Dante De Gori CFP® said high ethical standards are a benchmark of the CFP® qualification.

“I am delighted to announce Dan Candura as a workshop speaker at this year’s Congress. By attending Dan’s sessions, planners can gain a valuable insight into best practice ethical conduct and judgement for their clients, as well as their obligations to the broader community and the profession,” said Mr De Gori.

Mr Candura will host two workshops at the Congress around the ethical obligations of the profession, deconstructed via a series of case studies.

Congress delegates will have the opportunity to gain three CPD ethics hours, presenting a rare opportunity for planners to meet their triennium CPD ethics requirement at the one event.

“Ethics training doesn’t have to be dull. Dan’s presentations achieve rave reviews from planners around the world. So as well as meeting their CPD requirements for ethics, delegates can also expect to gain valuable insight and have some fun. This is a perfect fit for the ‘Future Ready’ Congress theme, which is all about helping financial planners prosper in a changing landscape,” said Mr De Gori.

Early Bird registrations are still available for the 2016 FPA Professionals Congress until 31 August. Further speakers, and the full workshop program, will be released in the lead up to the event.
