The FPA ACT Chapter Committee, in conjunction with Ironbark and Perpetual, invites you to attend a Member Workshop on Tuesday 15 March 2016.

We’ve a brand new line up for our
Chapter Autumn Workshop!  Instead of the usual sit down and listen presentation, we will have four specialists facilitating discussion tables with a speed dating theme.  That’s right, you only get 15 minutes with each specialist in an intimate grouping and a chance for direct and personal feedback!

This event will address ‘Problems in Practice’
and you will hear from four guest specialists:

Lisa Weissel CFP®
, who will focus on ‘Aged Care Advice in Practice’
Aged Care Advice in Practice – Hear from a local CFP® professional on how they have tackled Aged Care in their business.  The advice document requirements, the training and accreditation, the costing and delivering the service.  Lisa will give a brief overview and then the table opens up to questions.

Lois Clifford
from DDCS, who will focus on ‘Family Law in Practice’
Family Law in Practice – Hear from a local solicitor specialising in Family Law on how to tackle this very personal and sometimes difficult aspect of financial planning.  Lois will talk about what they see in practice and answer questions on what financial planners can be doing in their interactions with clients on this level.

Pragun Babhoota
from Ironbark, who will focus on ‘Asset Allocation Trends in Practice’
Asset Allocation Trends in Practice – Our sponsor Ironbark will be hosting a table to discuss current trends in the market, asset allocation and the changes they are seeing given the state of the market.  Pragun will also be able to answer questions on how advisers can use these trends to better inform their clients and empower them to give better advice.

Rick Wellens
from Perpetual Trustees, who will focus on ‘Estate Management and Trustee Services in Practice’
Estate Management and Trustee Services in Practice – Perpetual Trustees will be facilitating a table to discuss how a public or corporate trustee can be used in Estate Management and when an adviser should consider recommending one and how.  There will also be the opportunity to ask questions on the working of such an estate and how advisers can best serve their clients in these cases.

A buffet lunch will be provided that you can enjoy either at a table discussion or whist networking with your peers during a break session. Everyone should have an opportunity to access each table but you don’t have to go to every one, just those of interest to you!

We hope to see you at this new look workshop and in getting your feedback on whether you want to see more like it!
